A: Yes, all of the goldens in our breeding program have been fully tested and have passed all of their GRCA recommended health exams with OFA. We also genetically test our goldens to avoid passing on any of the common health risks known to the breed.

Q: Do you offer a health warranty?

A: Yes, we offer a 26 month (from date of birth) health warranty.

Q: I'm ready to purchase a puppy from Huntley's Goldens. What do I do next?

A: If you feel that a puppy from Huntley's Goldens would suit you best, please fill out the application here and we will be in touch. After your application is approved you will be added to our master waitlist. You will then be notified when a breeding takes place. After pregnancy has been confirmed by ultrasound, we require a non-refundable $500 deposit to reserve your puppy and secure your place in line. **We accept the following forms of payment for your non-refundable deposit and remaining balance: cash, money order, cashiers check, Zelle, and Venmo. Any fees related to certain transaction methods are the responsibility of the buyer.

Q: Can I come meet the puppies in person?

A: Yes, we allow the new puppy owners to come meet the puppies in person when they turn 6 weeks of age. In addition to the option to come meet the puppies in person if you are able, we will post photo and video updates on social media for you to follow along as the puppies grow. We are also in the process of trying to figure out how we might be able to do livestreams of puppy playtime.

Q: How is puppy pick order determined and when can I select the puppy I want?

A: Puppy pick order is determined based on when puppy contracts are submitted and buyer deposits are received. We reserve the right to pick of the litter or to place a puppy in a competition home. You will be informed at the time you plan to place a deposit, how many/if any new owners are in line for selection before you. After your deposit is received you will receive a receipt from us confirming your deposit and your place in line for selection. We allow new owners to begin puppy selection when the puppies are 7 weeks old. We will notify you of your selection time window. During your given selection time window, you will have 24 hours to pick your new puppy before we move to the next owner in line for their selection.

Q: What happens if, for example, I am third pick female and only two females are born?

A: In the event that we are unable to provide you with a puppy of your preferred gender, you will be provided with a few options. First, if we have any unspoken spots for the opposite gender of the same litter, you will be given the option to move your pick to next in line for males (given this example of not enough female puppies) if you are interested. If you very specifically want to wait for a female, we can move your deposit to our next available litter (you would be notified in advance of your place in line to aid in your decision making). The final option would be to receive your deposit back in full (minus any platform fees) so that you may purchase a puppy elsewhere if you so desire.

Q: When are the puppies able to go to their new homes?

A: Puppies can go to their new homes after they turn 8 weeks of age.

Q: You mentioned using Puppy Culture. What exactly is Puppy Culture?

A: As stated on their website: "On the top level, Puppy Culture is a socialization and training program specifically developed for puppies from birth through the end of their critical socialization period, with age appropriate protocols and lessons laid out in an organized format." Personally speaking, I have purchased puppies raised using culture and those not, and I have seen a noticeable difference. For additional info please check out their site here for more info and training products.
